Film emulation with Color Response Curves [Lightroom Camera Profiles] - Starter edition was just the beginning!

I have a few more packs that include a vast collection of camera profiles based on color response curves of famous curves. But if you don't know what I'm talking about here's a refresher: You can emulate the color response of film stocks of any film stock with a gradient, a LUT, Davinci Resolve, and a lot of patience.

Yes, there are presets for film emulation but they can feel like they're locking you in, not letting you tweak things just the way you want. Well, these profiles are different. They're more like a friendly nudge in the right direction, a first step to help you build the look you are going for with ease and accuracy, helping you emulate the colors of certain film stocks without getting in the way of your creativity.

VIDEO EXPLANATION OF THIS TECHNIQUE

Color response curves map out how the different color layers of film react to light, giving each film stock its unique look. I painstakingly recreated these curves from complex film emulations inside Davinci Resolved and baked them into easy-to-use Lightroom Camera profiles so you can use them, to give your photos the film vibes without taking over your Lightroom sliders, so you can fine-tune your images the way you like them.

It's basically like picking a film stock after you have already taken the photo and you also have the power to influence the rest of the film properties afterwards.

They're not magic, but man, they sure make film emulation feel like a breeze.

Pack One contains the basic color film that will most probably generate nostalgia in anyone who photographed something in the 90s. This pack includes some of the most commonly available films that were available to the masses. Kodak Color 200 is the film stock on which most of my childhood memories were captured on. My parent were not photographers, they had no idea, that Kodak's film stock looked very different from the Fuji. All they knew was that 200 was for daylight and 400 was for evening.

The colors you will get with these film emulation camera profiles are on the neutral side of things and will produce very pleasant looks as these film stocks were intended for general use, so any camera owner can use them back in the day but they are filled with nostalgia and produce a very easy-to-recognize look just because of that. They were widely used, and people will recognize these color palettes without even realizing it.
